Review summary

it wasnt not as advertised. there were only two restaurants which while good were not outstanding. never mind johnny rockets which was a dive. there was a gay bar but nothing for straight singles to do. they did not dock in either excursion port contrary to what you are led to believe. they nickel and dime you for everything including a 90.00 fee to tour the ship! The cabin was a dump, the couch was filthy. the cabin attendant could not get it through his head i just wanted to be left alone and would call if i needed something. seeing Vietnam was wonderful but here is where they should have spent the night. as it was only five hours. after travel. i am so disappointed, especially since my last royal Caribbean was so great. too many kids as well and you would think there would be asian selections of beer. i feel like i got taken.

SetexSteve is correct about the Do Not Disturb card in the key slot. But I want to remind everyone to please use the BLUE one when leaving your stateroom so they know you're gone and they can enter to make the bed, etc. I've been encouraged by stateroom attendants to remind folks to do that. They waste a lot of time hanging in the halls (especially at night), not wanting to knock on the doors and disturb people.

I will be boarding Mariner on Friday, celebrating my 70th birthday. so looking forward to it. I am going to have a fantastic time, wait & see.

Wnd13 - all your room attendant was doing was trying to do his job. Maybe next time use a bit of common sense and place the Card in the slot so he knows to not to disturb... !!!

While someone's cruise history might have been deleted, there's enough wrong with the comments to place "zero" importance on those comments, imo. You may place any amount of importance you wish on them.

I'm pretty sure you knew your itinerary before docking in Vietnam so I'm not sure why you'd be disappointed about that. Next time pick an itinerary you like more. As for paying for the tour of the ship - every cruise line does that, and if you don't like the price they set just don't pay for it. They aren't forcing you

Since the update to this app alot of people's past cruise history has been deleted from their profile. Although I have all of mine listed if you click on my profile it shows 0 past cruises and only like 8 pictures. So you can't really put any stock in that right now.

Considering you have no cruises listed, no photos, and no other reviews I place zero importance on you comments. You didn't know what the cost of the ship tour would be before you signed up? There is a "do not disturb" card in the slot on the inside of the door. You stick that in the slot on the outside of the door and they won't knock on the door or attempt to open the door. For crying out loud!!! I think you are just angry about something and want to trash RCCL. Perhaps cruising is not your thing?
