An Amazing Time

Room Type: Inside

This was a first-time cruise for both my sister-in-law and myself and we were absolutely blown away by the size of the ship. It was so clean and beautiful with many more venues than we expected. Every single staff member we came in contact with seemed to go way out of their way to be accommodating as well. We loved meeting so many lovely people of all ages from all over the world and were surprised how often we ran into the same ones both on shore and on the ship. The shows we attended were top notch and the food was even better than we expected ... very gourmet (rack of lamb, lobster and shrimp, a memorable onion and brie tart and fabulous desserts). All in all a wonderful week and looking forward to cruising again.

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Would certainly recommend the My Time Dining. Not only do you take care of the tipping ahead of time, but being able to eat whenever we chose was perfect for us.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an inside stateroom and were surprised that it was truly adequate for our needs. No doubt a balcony would be even better tho' ... maybe next time.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Children's Programs
Although we weren't accompanied by any children, I met so many people who were traveling with their young grandchildren and was extremely impressed by their comments. Apparently, the children are kept busy from morning to night and love it. One lady told me when they went ashore they gave their 6-year old grandson the option of going with them and he chose to stay onboard "with his friends". Wow!
