A Most Memorable Cruise

Sail Date: May 04, 2008

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was a tremendous and memorable cruise. We have been on several cruises before but this ship (Mariner of the Seas) was remarkable. We went with daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary and one we will both remember. We had dinner on their anniversary at Portifino's restaurant. There is nothing but good to say about our dinner and evening. I would highly recommend this cruise and ship to anyone and the thing that impressed us a lot believe it or not was the departure. It was so organized and we didn't have to look forever for our luggage as we just took it and left. It was very comforting and brought some joy to a rather somber end to the cruise. We wished it could have lasted forever. Thanks for helping us book this lovely experience

Pros: The amenities of the ship and the availability of the Captain

Cons: Would do a differenct excursion in Jamaica but nothing con about the cruise itself

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The service, cleanliness and overall service on this ship was tremendous. If we didn't have what we wanted it didn't take long to have someone get it for us. The captain was so available to talk and mingle with the passengers it was refreshing.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Had a balcony room and will take nothing less on future cruises
Service and Staff
Our stateroom attendant Andy was tremendous and was there whenever we needed something. Thanks Andy we appreciate that.
The entertainment was a good mixture and superb
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Enjoyed the calypso rafting but too short. Too much time lingering at the beach after the rafting. Went back to the ship and then to the market and enjoyed the afternoon at Margaritaville. Highly recommend people making a stop there.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
It was relaxing for the first stop as there was so much to do. I did the waverunner for the first time and highly recommend it to others. It is not as difficult as one might think and I will give it another shot.
Don't Miss: Waverunner
Cozumel, Mexico
Just enjoyed the relaxation on Playa Mia Grand Beach Park for the last day. Enjoyed the pool more than the ocean and the lunch and facility was excellent.
