Review summary

We went on the Mariner of the Seas. We took our two children ages 13 and 15. The ship was beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the prominade deck and enjoying coffee or tea each afternoon in the cafe. Our rooms were very nice and the room attendant very pleasant and helpful. Our kids enjoyed the ability to roam around the ship meeting new friends and participating in the teen activities. The shows were awesome. It's amazing how an ice performance can happen on a cruise ship. The cruise director was hilarious and very informative.

The dinners were very good. It is amazing how the staff is so kind and friendly each night. They will do anything to make it a pleasant evening. Some nights seemed a bit rushed.

Since we didn't like shopping, we headed straight for Dawn beach.
Don't Miss: Dawn beach - nice, relaxing and good snorkling

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

It was very crowded. There were about 4-5 other ships in port that day. We tried to shop but quickly decided the beach would be more relaxing plus we forgot the extra $3,000 you need to buy that beautiful diamond ring. If you want to buy jewelry, make sure you know your prices at home so you can truely see the discount.
Don't Miss: Great snorkling at cokie beach

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

We really liked it here. It was private and lunch was provided.
Don't Miss: We had fun on the catamaran sailboat.

Pros: Everything is planned for you. You don't have to worry about breakfast, lunch or dinner. You don't have to worry if your accomadations are going to be acceptable; they're great. There is always entertainment available for both adults and kids.

Cons: People put towels on pool chairs from 8:00-5:00 and only use the chair for maybe an hour out of that time. Very annoying!!!
