Review summary
Overall Majesty of the Seas is a smaller older ship, but there is a wonderful crew and we had a great time! A terrific value for what we paid.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Our experience was unusual due to the ship coming in being delayed due to rough weather
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
No specialty restaurants, but overall everything was really good. The buffet had a nice selection and almost everything in the the MDR was great! Soups were lacking and a couple of the desserts could have been better. The New York Strip was great!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Used the pool and hot tub a lot - the first and last day it was too cold and windy outside.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Overall this was great as well. One night they only had the orchestra perform and this was disappointing. The comedians were good and the Eagles tribute band was outstanding! Trivia contests were fun. Could look to add a couple more activities though.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
All staff were extremely friendly. Very personable.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
We saw people cleaning general areas multiple times, especially railings.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin is extremely small, but functional. Could maybe add some extra shelving in the closet to help stay more organized, dresser space is extremely limited. Bed was very firm, an optional pillow top would have been nice although we didn't request one. A flip up nightstand would be nice as well. We did get room service in the morning and no where to put anything.
Ship tip
Go in with a positive attitude - it is what you make of it!
Didn't bother getting off the ship as our time in port was weird - 2:00 to 11:00 PM. Several people were disappointed as they wanted to go to Atlantis and the timing was didn't work out with the cost.
