Review summary

After multiple disappointing cancelations due to the pandemic, it was so nice to have an actual vacation. I had to pinch myself several times that this was a realized dream. A definite negative of the pandemic has been canceled and halted vacations. Vacationing and visiting beautiful places that exist across the ocean keep hope alive and provide something to look forward to.

Food and Dining

Allegro dining room was superb. The staff welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond any assigned duty. All staff were attentive and kind. Food was very fresh and delicious with platings beautiful and creative. A lot of time and effort was expended by the entire staff to deliver each plating. I have been spoiled by fresh premium garden produce and fruits throughout my life as my father cared for a large garden and orchard and I enjoy gardening. The vegetables served were fresh and expertly cooked to retain flavor. The fruits were tasty and showcased in the cold soups. In the cooking show, it was interesting and comforting to learn about the special care of the fresh produce utilized by Princess for many years to keep guests healthy. Much attention is extended regarding food from onset to plating. Bread selection changed each night with new offerings. My traveling group especially loved the gorgonzola rolls with bread made fresh daily. The seafood selections and meat were varied, well prepared, and savory. The desserts were fabulous and almost too beautiful to eat. We especially enjoyed the little birthday cake prepared especially for our daughter. She felt very special to be presented with this little individualized cake and a serenade of good wishes. Alfredo's Pizzaria is a wonderful and tasty offering. On Majestic Princess, this is a sit-down style offering that differs from other ships. I really love the pizza. The International Cafe is quick and convenient with tasty quiche and sandwiches. The Noodle bar was an added bonus with excellent selections prepared fresh and individually.

Onboard Activities

With a good attitude and flexibility to try something new, I believe anyone can have an excellent time even if activities with Covid 19 are in a different format, venue, or style. While I enjoy going ashore to different ports over activities onboard, there is truly something for everyone. The Sports deck had very little traffic and my traveling group especially enjoyed the table tennis.

Entertainment

The guest performers were amazing with evening productions in the Princess Theater not to be missed. A lot of talented singers, dancers, and musicians. Thank you for sharing your talents with singing in Italian, French, and English beautiful opera selections. Loved the live band in the Piazza upbeat great tunes. Keep that Elvis churning. Swing is a very fun dance style with the fast-paced upbeat appreciated. Nice to hear Michael Jackson tunes during the Water Fountain show and some early and varied music selections to include familiar James Bond tunes.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent.......... Everyone was eager and willing to help. So grateful for the service and hard-working crew. So grateful for the opportunity to sail again.

Ship Quality

One of the best things resulting from Covid is the cleanliness. My stateroom was very clean and pristine with surfaces everywhere on the ship being cleaned and refreshed continually. Handrails and elevators were constantly cleaned and sanitized. Compliments to everyone involved with the extended and extraordinary care required in keeping surfaces clean.

The Half-Day Luxury Sailboat Experience is phenomenal and something I will always remember. Sailing at sunset in such a beautiful vast blue sun-glinted paradise was overwhelmingly peaceful and soul-enriching. Whale sightings were thrilling along with the unfurling of the sail and having the opportunity to sail the ocean. A limited number of participants in the activity makes the activity even better.

Unfortunately, A Day At The Beach & Marine Baby Turtle Encounter was canceled. The Hop on Hop off with four stops was not the best replacement. There was a lot of pressure from street vendors. At stop 4 in the Golden Zone, the street vendor would not accept no and continued to try to sell from the window of the bus eventually even boarding the bus as it was turning around. We purchased nothing.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Mahajuitas Cove, Yelapa & Lunch is the ultimate best of the best. The weather thanks to mother nature was perfect. We enjoyed snorkeling, relaxing at Majahuitas beach, and the quaint hike in Yelapa to the flowing waterfall. The crew was very attentive and helpful in our adventure. The lunch, drinks, and entertainment were wonderful. This is our 2nd adventure with Vallarta Adventures. We have previously enjoyed the Snorkel At Marietas Islands With Lunch & Open Bar
