Review summary

This was our first Covid cruise. We found the ship wonderful, especially since it was only about 40% full. We hardly ever had to share an elevator. But most remarkable was the fact we could actually find an elevator during the disembarkation process, something that has never happened before. Food was okay though there was not much variety in the buffet. Service was excellent throughout the ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was pretty slick, especially for wheelchair users. We had preregistred so it did not take much time at all. Most of the waiting was in the lounge waiting for the ship to start loading.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Disappointed with the lack of variety in food choice in the buffet. Food there was not hot, only slightly warm. Dining room was pretty good, as was Alfredo’s Pizzeria and the burger place.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Nice ship, nice facilities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were very friendly and mostly attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We felt safer on the ship than ashore.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a wheelchair accessible room. It was very nice with enough room in the cabin and bathroom to get around in a wheelchair. Access to the balcony was easy, though the door was a little heavy and awkward to operate. The only drawback was that there was no extra plugs in the cabin for an electric chair or scooter.

Ship tip

Head to a restaurant when you embark rather than heading to the buffet. Much more relaxed and fresher food.

We were only here from 7 am until 1 pm which was disappointing. However we were treated to a whale breaching and very playful dolphins on the way out.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Pretty smooth. We had indicated we were taking a late flight so registered for that but once we showed up at the proper room, we were told that we needed to be in the wheelchair lounge. I guess Princess wants to keep all the wheelchair people segregated.
