Review summary

Princess really needs to nail the food experience as it is seriously lacking. who is testing their product? Answer, no one. Entertainment needs attention as well. I've seen so much better at sea.

Embarkation

Excellent, very quick. The assigned times should be permanently adopted.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room, Allegro, had some excellent courses and was the best dining experience on the ship. The Crown Grill was meh, with a bizarre waiter, rushed experience, poorly executed lobster, and an overall feeling of the need to cancel our second reservation. Harmony was a similar miss the mark experience with a good start but a huge wait to get our entrees. Apologies from the waiter in a half full venue did not appease. On the Lido deck the Noodle venue ,Chopsticks, lacked any culinary craft. It was bland, unimaginative, and consistent. The Lobster Bar is really a burger and hotdog joint and could not present a decent hamburger or hot fries to save their life. And the buffet, wow, if it is a hot dish, well, roll the dice. Half of the hot items are truly awful, held way too long or not even warm- go figure. 4/5's of the buffet was not in use the entire journey. The International Cafe was a bright spot, consistent, quick, fresh, and good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Standard gym for this class of Princess ship- adequate but really an afterthought to the design as it's a hallway where folks wander through. in covid times not the best. This iteration of the ship has one indoor and one outdoor pool. The indoor pool and surrounding space gives you that chlorine experience. The outdoor pool is mid sized and lovely. Lots of hot tubs. Attentive staff. Went by the mini golf- a joke.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Below average. Low energy.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was without exception excellent in attentiveness and attitude. Pleasant smiles and greetings with every passing and interaction. They were genuine and appreciative. Wonderful staff everywhere.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship design is good for the assumed goals of the designers. Could use a few more public spaces such as small bars and small fresh well executed food options. The ship was immaculate and spotless. I never say one empty glass or napkin lying about. The public spaces are tastefully designed and decorated. It is a beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Large room, small balcony, plenty of storage, comfortable bed, uncomfortable couch. A bit staid in decor -a la Princess.

Ship tip

If you want a mellow, pleasant, not too exciting experience...Majestic.
