I really enjoyed this ship. Princess seems more upscale this cruise in all areas. Seems they improved on an already good thing. Thumbs up!! It was relaxing and the drinks were flowing. I’d highly recommend.
Embarkation

Embarkation was seamless and took all of 15 minutes. We showed our clear PCR test, ID, and docs then walked right onto ship. The medallion came on a lanyard. Perfect as I didn’t have to buy anything.

Food and Dining

We went to the crown Grill the first night. Excellent. Buffet was fine-they served it to you as they do on Holland America. MDR food was very good. They have updated the menu for the better in my opinion. There are still a lot of the same dishes but a few new ones. Lobster offered one night without the up charge. They brought me an extra one even.
People loved the noodle bar and we tried the lobster roll at the pool grill. Yum.
Onboard Activities

Honestly, there were only 1400 on board so not as much to do as usual. Fine with us though as we wanted to relax. Pools were fantastic. Two pools outside and one under cover. Loved the indoor area as there were cabanas we used at no charge. Beautiful area that was connected to Hollywood Conservatory.
We wore masks inside but no big deal. As we’d been stuck in Canada for almost two years I would wear a hazmat suit to go on vacation.
Entertainment

Princess definitely upped their game with the entertainment. New show- Encore, was excellent. There was a soprano in the show who was amazing. Standing ovation. Next night was a British singer they’d brought in for the week. Wow! We hit the show every night and really enjoyed it all.

Loved this ship. The piazza was beautiful, loved the pool options, and everything was spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom

We booked an inside cabin on casino offer. The sideways ones are better layed out IMO. It was fine depending what you like. We book all types of cabins as long as it’s a good deal. It was B323. Scott Singer has a good video of the same on YouTube.
Ship tip
Use the walking track on deck 18. Loved it. It wasn’t wrapped around the pool where people are lounging like other ships. I hate that as you do interrupt them and people get in the way. Water fountain too.
We were off the ship within 20 minutes. The Covid testing was a bit stressful though. It didn’t open until 08:00 and they didn’t start until 08:30. By the time we got the test and results it was 09:30 and the last shuttle was leaving for the airport. We were one of the first for testing so would take an Uber next time. Took almost two hours so be prepared.
I agree that Princess is wonderful. Been on other cruise line but found Princess to suit us the best. Thanks for the review. Haven’t sailed on the Majestic but hope to.
