Review summary

So happy to be cruising after 2 years away from the sea. We are frequent cruisers, and this was BY FAR the best experience we've ever had. Princess went out of their way to make us feel SAFE, show us they were thrilled to be employed, happy to be sailing, and thankful for customers like us to believe in them again. Every crew member said THANK YOU every day of the cruise.

Embarkation

Fastest of any cruise ever. We had pre-registered our vaccination cards, and pre-covid test results, and literally waltzed onboard. Maybe 10 minutes from the time we left the car, and boarding the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
delicious! The main dining room thrilled us every night, and had souffles ( my favorite!) maybe 4 of the 7 nights.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Sail Away parties, arts & crafts , Princess Theater guest authors, Trivia contests, craps in the casino

Entertainment

Top Notch! The piano player on the main stage was so enjoyable, as were all the broadway shows. loved the comedian!

Service and Staff

we have never felt so welcomed onboard. Every crew member said " Thank you for returning to Princess" and "Thank you for sailing again" and they really meant it. We felt like we were part of helping them get back on their feet . and the ship was only 50% capacity. LOVELY!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
spotless- and the Majestic was the prettiest ship we've ever sailed. Blown glass sculptures, chandeliers, and beautiful decor. We loved all the specially dining areas were open air and accessible from the walkways- not closed away behind doors. The design was different from other Princess ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
specious room with lots of storage. They really designed it with storage in mind. We brought metal hooks and shoe pockets to hang on the walls ( it's all magnetic) but didn't need them.

Ship tip

Majestic is the most beautifully decorated ship we've been on. Unique plates on the walls, new color schemes, & special wall coverings we haven't seen before. It usually sails the asian ports of call ( every sign is in english & chinese), but is repositioned due to covid. Sail this one before it goes back to Asia.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
lively beach, lots of vendors selling everything from hair braiding to jewelry, water activates to rent, loud music coming from the restaurants & bars. enjoy it for it's craziness, as the next 2 ports will be much quieter. We got a daypass at Billygans, that included a queen size lounger on the sand, and $200 in food & drink. Perfect to watch all the happening on the beach, but behind a red rope that the vendors couldn't cross. Octopus quesadillas, lobster tacos and shrimp/lobster/steak nachos. Loved it!

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
quieter than Cabo, and the beaches are clean. WARM water like bathwater! you can walk right in. We got a daypass at the Gavianna Hotel that included food & drink, and our own cabana. Included transportation to/from the ship too. highly recommend doing that.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
Got a daypass at the Westin, and enjoyed the quiet resort. Didn't include food/drink or transportation, but taxis were easy to find. The resort is pretty with a clean beach and spectacular pool with palm trees all around. warm water and small waves.

Disembarkation

easy as can be. we had a scheduled time to stroll off the boat.
