Review summary

It was great to be back cruising. It was a great time. The staff was great, the ports were happy to see us. I do feel like the quality of food has gone down. I remember the food being better on past cruises. But I am still grateful that I was able to be back on a cruise.

Embarkation

Real simple. We got there at 11:45 and we were boarded by 12:25. We had all our Covid tests and vaccination papers ready to go.

Alfredos Pizza was the best thing on the ship. To be honest, I was not impressed with the buffet. I didn’t see or I completely missed the salad bar.

Service and Staff

As always the staff was amazing. Crew is always cleaning and they work so hard on those ships. They make the trip enjoyable.

The ship was beautiful. My only complaint is no outside walking track that goes all around the ship.

Ship tip

We usually sail to Alaska in May. This was pretty late in the season for us. The ocean was definitely a lot choppier. There were two nights where we were rocking pretty good. This is also the first time I booked a room towards aft. I usually book in the midship. That could have been the reason I felt the waves more.

My favorite port. The people were really happy to have us there. We did a hike and floating down the river combination. It was amazing.

Thanks for the review. I've got an Alaska cruise booked for next May and looking forward to it since it will be my first time there. Hope I can handle the cold, I usually prefer tropical climates 😊

We have always gone in May as well. Will be doing the last Alaska cruise next week. Just an fyi- we had a big storm come in up the coast on Friday that you were experiencing.

Great Experience
