Review summary

Nice boat, good food, INTERNET DOES NOT WORK. Ports of call were average. this is not a cruise for families at that time. The age demographic was between 70-90. if you don’t have a walker or a wheel chair you would feel out of place

Ship tip

Don’t what ever you do, buy the internet package. The internet does not work. I paid $450 AUD for my family and from day one it did not work. Despite numerous requests to staff including a written request for assistance, Which has not been acknowledged, i still have no resolution. It simply does not work. One staff member told me the staff do not buy the package because its is expensive for them and DOESNT WORK.

Loved Majestic.... (and i'm only 50 🤣). I know everyone is different but your cruise is what you make it. By the way it's a SHIP ⛴

I didn’t enjoy the Majestic but I can say that the internet worked fine

The OP only came here to complain, 1 cruise and 1 review and probably wont ever return. None of his reveiw seems accurate to me, we spent 19 days on Maj last year and never had any problems with internet, and our cruise to NZ (not on maj) was superb with all ports being fantastic. A whiner and complainer who needs to look hard at himself, not the ship

You need to do a 3 night cruise before doing a long cruise like that. Look at your ports are and what you are going to do or looking for. As we like all the princess. So do your homework

Hope you enjoyed your cruise even though you don’t seem to appreciate us old people. We like to cruise also.

Port Calmers and Dunedin is a beautiful place. So is Akaroa. What were you expecting??? Night clubs, amusement parks??? Don't go to beautiful place with amazing scenery flora and fauna if you want thousands on a beach or some tacky amusement park!

I totally disagree !! there when people all ages on board the Majestic and you don't have to be old to be disabled !!! There where people of all age groups including kids and teens not as many as carnival etc ...but it's more expensive and most family's book other ship lines as they are more affordable for a family and have more activities the younger families!!! we where on the Majestic Princess for Christmas cruise this was our first Princess cruise we had cruised as we have done 27 carnival and 3 royal Caribbean.. and we throughly enjoyed the food and service was awesome. The ports you chose where not the ports to do exciting beach days and activities that's what you need to be mindful of the destinations that you decide on ...you need to do your homework and look at things to do before you book it's your choice if you wanted beach and activity ports then ..., you book it .. you can hardly come back and complain about a ship and destination that you booked when it was your choice!! The Wifi on most ships are not good very slow and most times can't be used the area the Majestic not only went to New Zealand but also a few of Aussie ports where you could of just used the Internet at any of these ports with ease also from New Zealand as soon as you hop off the ship you can use your internet ..so why was it such an issue However when your at sea it another matter and not worth the effort surely you didn't have to be connected 24x7 ? The fiords are isolated and of course the best navigation on board the ship they would have still have trouble your holiday your choice !!!! Do your research!!!!!

People can be in a wheelchair or walker at any age like me not just at an old age you suggested I find your post offensive.

Yeah you need to chill and do more homework

It seems that you did not do any research before arranging this cruise. I wish you have better luck in planning your next cruise. 🤔

Internet is rarely good or consistent on ships. It’s a good time to disconnect and unplug for a week.
