Excursion to Bangkok was well done, albeit a bit long. Probably could have done without the last temple. That would also have meant we would have beaten the traffic going back to the ship. Next day we took ourselves to Pattaya. Nice.
Used the shuttle to go into town. Incredibly poor but mostly dirty. Couldn’t wait to get back on the ship. Next day we took a little excursion which was interesting and informative. Temple rather different from the ones we saw in Bangkok and I mean that in a positive way. Only things that were well kept were the temples and the enormous number of casinos where the locals were not allowed to go. Could have done with just one day in the place.
Great port. Well organized, great excursion with a marvelous lunch. We had the bad luck of getting a guide who could not stop talking and calling everyone ‘brother and sister’.
Weather not the best, but had a good time nonetheless. Took afternoon cruise to the Bay (with lunch) (you notice a recurring theme here?), visitingthe caves. Magnificent.
