Very nice cruise by tincupchalice

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Excellent cruise, we are normally not cruise people, as we would rather go to a place and stay. However, as cruises go I have now done Carnival and Royal Caribbean and IMO, RC by far was the best. The two are not in the same category again, IMO.

Fun on the water by bernardsw24

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

What a blast on the water with so much to do on the ship. We always had something to do and were treated very nicely. Dining Staff, AJesh and Agnelo, were top class and gave us the best experience ever.

Liberty Cruise by karenh74706113

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The best part of the cruise was the friendly service and loved the ports of call. The boat was clean and the service was good.  I did not like the constant push to pay for more things. If you wanted a good steak, you had to pay additional costs to go to a specialty restaurant. On past cruises, there were drink stations and soft serve ice cream stations all around the boat - here you had to search for even water! - And of course, you could buy ice cream. Also, on other cruises you could buy pictures of different sizes - this offered only 8x10 sold for $20 OR you could digital download for the same price and pay additional money to print out your self.

I felt very limited to what was made available without paying more money.

Great Cruise With Friends by meadortech

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our third cruise, all with Royal Caribbean. At our recommendation, some of our children have already cruised with RC and others plan to. This cruise seemed to have more unaccompanied kids and kids running in the halls than I have previously noticed. Please don't allow RC to become what our perception of Carnival is.

Wonderful staff by ang1992leon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My favorite part of the cruise was the great friendly staff.  Elizabeth, Amine and Oral were fabulous to us.  I couldn't ask for better service.  I would change the windjammer to have different stations with different food.  Maybe a big salad bar, seafood or Mexican food.  I would definitely recommend to others.

Amazing experience! by jh126197

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Yes, I would recommend this cruise to others.  Everything was 1st class.  The food was excellent, the service all throughout the ship was fabulous.  We spent a lot of time at the adult pool and thought music should be playing on that side as well.  We also thought that the music diversity wasn't what we expected.  We like to dance and would have liked something other than club music or Latin music.

Wonderful 7-Day Cruise by klook

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Royal Caribbean did it up right!!  The cruise was very well planned, shows were very well produced... the ice show was fantastic!!  I have been on several different cruise lines and I really enjoyed this trip much more than others.

The only things I would do to improve the experience is to add AC to the elevators and a air filtration to the casino.  Also, the announcements couldn't be understood at the pools, and the speaker system in the cabins was non-existent.

Food was FABULOUS.  Giovanni's Table is a MUST.

Balcony or Bust by amosgraves

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The balcony and complimentary and very well organized kids camp was worth the trip alone. First, research the class of ships and the specific ship to see if it meets your expectations. We wanted a kid friendly ship that didn't feel like people were stacked on top of one another, and Liberty of the Seas didn't disappoint. The ability to walk onto a balcony was priceless and I'll never do without one! Bring your allotted two bottles of wine. Don't book expensive excursions through the ship. Buy through or wait until you get there. There is plenty to drink without buying the drink packages, unless you want to drink a ton of alcohol. I bought a 15 specialty coffee pass and used it, but the free coffee was decent and plentiful, so not sure I'd buy another pass. We ordered a few pina coladas and otherwise drank our wine -way cheaper than drink packages. The only thing I didn't like was all of the up-selling attempts. That was annoying. The food was inconsistent, and should be better in the MDR for what you pay. Two nights were really good, two nights were bad, and two nights were ehh. The one night we ate filets at chop grill, which costs extra, was awesome. We won't be multiple cruise people (maybe one more to Alaska), but it's worth doing every 5-10 years.

Very Good Experience by Vinnce

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The workout center and the food was great. Most of the staff went out of their way to serve and ensure my experience was great. A few staff showed signs of being tired of so many people which is understandable but something to be mindful of. I would definitely recommend the cruise to others and have already done so.

SERIOUS FOOD PROBLEM, FRIDAY NIGHT FROM THE WINDJAMMER by helm1544

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was very good until late Friday night when 6 members of our group of 12 got very sick from the evening food at the Windjammer. We reported it to the MGMT of the Windjammer Saturday. afternoon. they basically blew us off (nicely) saying we were the only ones complaining. We were able to determine the food item that was the culprit by canvassing all in our group. However, we heard other families complaining out on deck 11. Then, the next day in our departure lounge, there were several more families discussing one or two people sick in their families. Several of them planned to tell their stories on the internet!

Great Vacation by kristasi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I had cruised before, but this was an experience never to forget.  We left completely relaxed, entertained and happy.  After having different vacations around the world, I felt that this one was perfect because of the inclusions that we didn't have to worry about.  Less planning and fretting, more fun!

Great trip... by scobibe233

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Everyone had a wonderful time on our cruise. Great ship, teens were entertained when at sea (thank God!), food was awesome. Only one minor complaint - the regular coffee is nasty - I like it strong and bold, but this was super bitter, sometimes burnt tasting, and often with grounds.

Great time! by phuttenbach

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Probably the best part of the cruise was the excellent service The food was great, and the waiters were incredibly attentive.  The facilities were much nicer  than some of the other cruises we have been on, and including things like a rock wall and ice skating, which were included in the price.  Overall, I would say it was much nicer than some of the other cruises we have been on coming from Galveston.

R&R On The Smooth Seas by MoCo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Boarding the ship was simple and easy.  We got to the ship at 10:30 a.m. and got on board quickly. Luggage arrived to room at 1pm as promised. Room was spotless and attendant was over-the-top cordial and accommodating.  Meals in dining room were above average. Had dinners in specialty restaurants (steak and Italian) and both were excellent and highly recommended for a quiet and romantic setting.

The ships entertainment was really great and maybe the best we have seen in 15+ cruises. Professional and impressive performances consistently delivered at all shows...really great!

Fitness center nice and quite busy but clean.

Overall, excellent value and relaxing with a fantastic staff. Ship needs some work as carpet and other areas showing wear.

Wonderful Cruise! by zabanya

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We enjoyed our cruise on the Liberty of the Seas on May 28 - June 4!  The dining was fabulous...a great selection and the food was great in the Main Dining Hall, which we enjoyed for dinner.  The food in the Windjammer was good; when we went there for breakfast, it was sometimes difficult to find seating during peak times (around 9 a.m.)  All staff were attentive and caring regardless of the time of day.  The entertainment was good - I especially enjoyed the Ice Show and the 70's and 80's show the night before the Saturday Night Fever show.  The only difficulty we found had to do with the Waverunner.  Both of our sons wanted to try it, but it was often reserved for lessons.  Our ports - Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel were good as well. Getting on and off the ship was relatively easy.  We look forward to cruising with RCL in the future!

RC - Liberty - May 28 by rwyatt9500

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was outstanding.  Main dining could not have been better.  Head waiter (Charles), waiter (Bento), and assistant (Michelle) were probably the best I have ever had.  Service was always timely in dining room and bars.  Buffet always had more than enough staff to wait on you for whatever your needs were.  Staff always wore a smile and were eager to make you vacation the best they could.

Wonderful Time by mdulock2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We went on this cruise with family.  We had a group of 17 people.  The cruise overall was wonderful.  Lots to do!  The staff could be a little friendlier.  The ports Honduras- Beautiful and relaxing, Cozumel - Wonderful however Costa Maya- will stay on the ship next time.  I felt like it wasn't tourist ready.  The waterpark was fun for the kids but the beach did not look safe to me.  We didn't stay long.  The food on the ship was Spectacular!!!  Happy
