Another fantastic cruise to Bermuda from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ. I loved the beaches, the Crystal Caves, and our visits to St. George and Hamilton. The ship was fun. My first cruise was on Liberty in 2014 and I haven't stopped cruising since.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Cape Liberty is so easy! We had 1 PM check in to avoid the morning crowds and we were onboard in 5 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food quality has declined a bit compared to pre-covid sailings. We tried Sabor one afternoon for lunch and that was fantastic. I loved the Pato Gordo and the Cafe Con Leche dessert. The main dining room service was wonderful but the food has definitely declined. Dishes I used to love are now middling at best. Some were very good, like the salmon.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I am not a rock climbing or flow rider person. There were a lot of trivia games, bingo, etc. It's always the same.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best band on board this sailing was Fiesta Latina, which had a lot of fantastic energy. We loved them. The guitar melodies were good, the ship's singers and orchestra were good but whoever was doing the sound mixing in the theater was having issues.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was fantastic! Our stateroom attendant was very attentive, he brought us whatever we needed and anticipated our needs. Our waiter and assistant waiter were phenomenal. No issues whatsoever. Great people all around who work very hard.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
When the ship was revamped they didn't include sinks in the windjammer entrance like they did on other ships, so you only have the washy-washy dude with the purell. I think they need sinks considering the number of people in our facebook group who are now sick.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We were in an inside cabin, 2673. Not bad, very small, but there's no internet connection. I couldn't take a meeting in our room or even browse social media. I had to go in the hallway or up on another deck to connect.
The room was clean, everything worked. We were two friends traveling together and it was fine.
Ship tip
Bring heavy duty magnetic hooks to hang your items to dry and for storage.
Easiest place for embarkation. Very close to Liberty State Park, the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Visit the 9/11 memorial at the cruise port.
I love Bermuda! There's so much to do. This was my third visit and I loved it once again. The beaches are clean, the cities are safe and the natural wonders like the caves are amazing.
