Review summary

The problem we had that I had to go to Customer Service three times to inform them I was paying for the gratuities. The gratuities were taken off of my account and then the next day I was charged again. When I received my final bill I was charged $138.28 to the credit card, which was the gratuities. I did send this same message to Royal Carribean. This is the only big issue I had. That is why I am giving this trip a three where all my other trips would be a 5.

Why go through all the headache of chasing down the employees to tip in cash on your final day or constantly having small bills on you? Better to just let the auto-gratuity stand, and pay the tipping cash to guest services before the final bill posts to your card. Otherwise, if seriously believe your auto-grats will not go to the correct service teams and prefer tipping them daily in cash, wait until the final day after the final auto charge is posted to remove all of them. When you go mid trip they can only remove the ones already posted.

So did you get to go to the laundry facilities to tip the people washing your sheets? Were you able to tip anyone else that works behind the scenes? Just curious?

Why make gratuities so complicated? I let them post the daily and I also tip extra to cabin attendant and bar staff and waiters. These people work hard time to be nicer.
