Review summary

Had a great experience, ship needs upgrades but staff tries their best to keep it clean. Some things were dirty like the utensils and napkins, at times our dining room table had stains from previously dropped food on it. Food needs to be consistent with quality.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was seamless, barely any lines. Our assigned time was 11:30AM and arrived around 11Am. We didn’t have any issues and it was very straightforward.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There were times where the food was subpar. For example, at the main dining room, my husband ordered the Cesar salad and the cheese was stale. For breakfast, I ordered a NY lox and bagels, the bagel was as hard as a rock. I had to request a new one and even the new bagel was stale. They try to make the food good but it’s inconsistent when certain foods are stale/not fresh.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There’s plenty to do and although there’s not enough time, there’s no pressure to attend or do all the activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We loved the illusionist show! Also, the ice skating show was nice but performers made a lot of mistakes and you can tell they’re not used to the small ice skating rink.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
There’s a small play area where parents can sit and watch their kids while they played which was a nice thing to have. You can tell it used to be a bar that they turned into a play area by dumping toys in.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Super friendly and hardworking. My husband accidentally left his wallet on one of the chairs and a worker found it, gave it to guest services. Nothing was missing from the wallet and we were so thankful.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship needs major upgrades and renovation. When other people mention the need for a dry dock, it’s true! Our stateroom bathroom had mold behind the shower door enclosure. The carpets are outdated and the decor needs updating as well. They keep the promenade so beautiful!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We were in deck 6, room needs renovation and we didn’t feel safe leaning on the balcony rail because it didn’t look secured enough.

Ship tip

Bring your own liquid hand soap. They provide the bar soap but I find the liquid hand soap was more hygienic and convenient. Also, if you’re used to the newer ships, this may not be the best ship to go on since it needs major updates.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
They should allow people to disembark as they’re making their way out. We had to wait for our number to be called to leave, so most of the time we were sitting in the promenade area waiting for our number to be called. That’s wasted time that could have been used to allow people to disembark as they get to the line to leave. Either way, we didn’t have a plane to catch, so we took our time, ate breakfast and waited until our number was called.
