We had a really great time. So many options to choose from as far as activities and dining and beverages. We were really able to set our own pace from day to day and do as much or as little as we wanted. Really enjoyed the theme nights, though I do wish RCC was more informative as to what they would be. I don't think most people were aware, other than to presume there would be a formal night. I, myself, had to do a bit of detective work to figure out what the themes would be and hardly ANYONE was dressed up for 70s night!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The process was quick & easy. I like the scheduled times. Last time we cruised, pre-covid, we stood in line outside in the heat for HOURS waiting to get on the ship. This time it was like bump, bump, boom, you're in!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We did not dine in any specialty restaurants. Service in both the buffet and MDR were great. Food was okay...left a little something to be desired.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn't participate in a lot of activities. The fitness center is well-equipped and clean. I wish there was a limit and some prizes for trivia and Name That Tune. It was fun, but there were SO many people and it was just bragging rights, no prizes at all, not even little logo items or something...
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every single staff member we came in contact with, from our cabin attendant, to the Washy Washy guy & gal, to the waiters, bartenders and beyond...they all seemed to genuinely want to help us enjoy our trip.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Did not notice one single area that needed attention. Definitely feel the ship was well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The bathroom is tiny, of course. They all are unless you get a suite. But the room itself I felt was rather nice-sized, all things considered. Probably my one complaint was the water pressure in the shower. I have really long hair and it would have taken an hour to rinse it in there! So I opted to indulge in the on-board salon instead.
Ship tip
If you're looking for a quiet little place to decompress during your trip, try the alcoves just outside the elevator area on most levels. They overlook the Promenade so you can be on the edge of the action but sip your coffee in relative quiet.
We didn't do an excursion...just drove, parked, got on the ship. BUT they added a parking garage since the last time we cruised, so the trip from our car to our ship was much more manageable this time.
Beautiful port! Our fourth time sailing there and coming into the Royal Naval Dockyard never gets old. We did a beach excursion we found on Trip Advisor...bonfire on a secluded beach...worth every penny!
Thank you for sharing your experience. So glad you had a great time cruising Liberty! I am looking forward to being onboard this ship in a couple months and look forward to it more w/ reviews like these. :-)
