Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. We were on the same sailing. Missing Bermuda was a disappointment but it wasn’t just the captain’s decision. He announced that in speaking with the port authorities in Bermuda as well as Royal Caribbean’s expert weather meteorologist, and others, they made a joint decision to not go to Bermuda as the weather was too dangerous to dock in. There is so much to see and do on your own in Old San Juan. You can walk about 20 minutes to the El Morro fort which is what we passed going into and out of Old San Juan on the ship. You can also walk to the Castillo San Cristobal fort which is only about a 10 minute walk from the port. Hopefully you will be able to get back to Old San Juan in the future as it’s such a beautiful place to see and explore.

Just for future reference, you can always walk to Old San Juan from the pier. Turn left and you'll see El Murro. Keep heading straight and you'll be there within min.

It pays to do research of the ports. You can board a free hop on, hop off bus in old San Juan close to the pier.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, Royal puts on a nice product. We enjoyed our time on Liberty, and are actually booking another one on there later in the year.
