I enjoyed this cruise because of the people I met and were with. I recommend the cruise line include small foot stools for each seat on the balconies. The other ships have these. Generally this was a nice cruise.
Embarkation

Because of Covid, embarkation was a little slower but it was okay except for the constant inclining. Very tough on seniors.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
My party and I throughly enjoyed the food! I really don’t think the specialty restaurants have anything on the Main dining
Room. We went to Giovanni one night although the menu was different and delicious, the main dining room gave just as varied a menu, much better than in the past. I’ve been on Liberty in the past and the food was great then but not as varied.
Onboard Activities

I enjoyed the trivia games! Also the spa,the jacuzzi and the solarium. I must say ,the pool ares in the solarium could use some refurbishing,as could my stateroom. There have the addition of a water slide and a new children’s area, but the spa could use an update and there should be a towel dispenser location on the aft side of the pool as well.
Entertainment

I only got to see Saturday Night Feverand the ice show. Both were great. The Ice show was 🤩 amazing! Cast members of the shows had Covid and were laid up so show times were awkward. There was a showing of SNF at 5am!
Service and Staff

Wonderful steward. His name was Tut. Also Kelvin and Lennon in the Dinning room were amazing 🤩
Ship Quality

Cleaning was going on constantly but this ship is being cleaned down to the bear wood, metal, etc. Needs a good paint job and general refurbish. I love the layout of the freedom and voyager class of ships.
Cabin / Stateroom

Naturally it was an older ship with an older cabin but we liked it. We had a balcony and used it ! Out Room steward was great and our room was always spotless.💖
Ship tip
Go on this ship for the ports, not the ship itself. I went on Liberty because I have never been to Belize, Costa Maya or Roatan. The ship itself felt very old sort of used up. Look forward to the food as well.
Belize was fascinating. We went on a tour of the city and I learned that the country was once British Honduras. We visited the oldest church in the country which up until 1972,still held segregated church services. English is the main language you noticed lovely homes next to hovels. It was explained that houses were built over time in most cases. You bought the land and built the house when you could until it was done. It could take years. I bought my vanilla in Belize.
We got off the ship for a walk around the port and I did buy a Pandora charm, but that was all I saw of the port. The excursions we sold out very quickly and they didn’t have many.l
We went to the beach here. The exclusion was at a beach club and the food and drink cost extra if you wanted it. It was okay. It’s not one I’d do again.
We were in Galveston because a good friend has a home there and since she always flew north for us,we decided to go to her for this cruise. Galveston is an interesting port but I’ll wait to fly out of it again. It’s too far from the airport,it’s 😎100 DEGREES,and I don’t believe the town has any taxi service! We tried five call numbers and none of them worked!
They practically threw us off the ship! We had to be out of the room at 8am. Thankfully I had a great breakfast in the dining room as I had to get on a shuttle to the airport which is an hour and one half hour trip and then wait.
