Review summary

We greatly enjoyed our time on Liberty of the Seas. We flew a long way for the cruise but it was certainly worth the trip. The ship was SUPER clean and didn't seem at all large. We'd previously cruised on ships that held around 2,500 passengers and were worried that this would seem too large, but it didn't at all. The layout was incredibly convenient. Our cabin was on the second floor towards the rear and it was never a problem to get anywhere (though you do often have to wait for the elevators) we mainly used the rear elevators and stairs. The kids LOVED Splashaway Bay. We all loved the mini golf too, but it was so incredibly hot up there in the front of the ship that we didn't linger. Don't miss giving the Flowrider a try! The boogie boarding is fun for all ages, no special skill required. :) Also, don't miss the Tidal Wave slide; it's a fantastic thrill ride! However, there are very specific guidelines for the tandem inner-tube ride. You have to have two riders and they have to be over 52 inches, over a certain weight, and under a certain weight. Because of this, I couldn't ride it with anyone else in my party. Thankfully another mom was in the same situation and we rode together!

Special attention was paid to a member of our party with a food allergy. Overall the food and drink were fantastic!

Great shows! The timings didn't always work with our schedules for dinner and getting the kids to bed at a reasonable time though. Don't miss the Captain's welcome party. The live musicians were fantastic at all the venues!

My kids cried when we left. They were great!! We dropped them off for just a few sessions but they loved it and made friends that we met up with around the ship.

Super clean ship! The bathrooms were always spotless AND I never saw someone cleaning in them. It was like magic. There was no way you would think that there were 4,000+ guests on that ship.
