This was a GREAT cruise. Royal Caribbean does a great job
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Overall, the emabarkation went very well. The only issue is that there were people who took my multiplug (non surge protector) and wasn't the nicest about it. Luckily, I had another in another carry on bag that they did not find. The use of multi-plugs, for me, is necessary in order to plug in my CPAP machine as well as charge my phone and electronic supplys during the night since there are VERY FEW outlets in each room.

As always, food and drink quality and service were absolutely wonderful.

Service and Staff

Everything was great. Our room steward was nice and kept the room extremely clean, but for some reason, we were not able to develop the close working relationship we are used to.

The only thing that I would recommend is that the cruise line either provide or allow us to bring multi-plugs aboard the ship. I have a CPAP machine that I use during sleep and also want to charge my electronic equiptment overnight, as well. With only 2 plugs, this is just not possible.
Excursion was booked via Shore Excursioneer. Awesome!! Cave tubing. The only suggestion for Shore Excursioneer would be that they seperate people from different ships so that return times can be better managed.
Excursion was excellent. Booked through Shore Excursioneer. Beach day at El Cid. Absolutely wonderful!! The only complaint was in the port. The people running the shops were much more pushy and rude that we have experienced previously. Additionally, the two pharmacies seemed to be dirty. One had a price tag of 400 (peso). The other had a price tag of 450 (peso). Both of them told me that this was $35 US. According to other vendors, the exchange rate was 20peso = $1 US. I looked up the current actual exchange rate online at the time, using an exchange rate calculator. This showed an actual exchange rate of closer to 18 peso = $1 US. This means that for both pharmacy products (same product from different pharmacy shops in the port area) the US dollar value should have been between $20-$25. They seemed very rude when we questioned them about this, so we did not purchase.
Extreme delays, but understandable if, as we were told, the Custom Service was having delays. This was during the partial government shutdown. I thanked the Customs officials for their service during the shutdown and for doing their part in keeping our country safe while awaiting an effective boarder barrier.
