Review summary

Royal Caribbean runs a great ship with Liberty of the Seas. The ship is beautiful, the cruise was lots of fun, and the food was great! The only thing I could ask for is bartenders with a little more personality...that was the only disappointing part of the cruise. Overall, our experience was five-star!!!

Ship tip

If you're going to book excursions, book them as early as possible. They tend to fill up quickly for the more popular excursions, so don't wait until the last minute!

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
Galveston was our port of call, so there was no activity except boarding and leaving. The staff did an excellent job moving people on and off the ship. If you want to visit Galveston, arrive a day early and check out the sea wall area. There's great places to eat all along it, and it's a nice walk.

Cozumel, Mexico

This year, we did not do any excursions; we just wanted to relax. Senor Frogs and Margaritaville are both fun places to hang out!!!

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Again, we didn't to any excursions this year. However, Georgetown is an outstanding place to visit with many shops; we found a restaurant called Rackmans, which served some outstanding food and drink!!! Unfortunately, we didn't get to do all the shopping we wanted, so we'll just have to plan another visit.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
No excursions here, either. But we had a ton of fun shopping and hanging out at Margaritaville! We did hear from some other passengers that started to go outside the port (not on an excursion), and they had bad experiences with aggressive sellers immediately after exiting the port. If you're not going on an excursion, I recommend staying in the Falmouth port area. There's lots of shops to see, and it's clean and friendly.
