We had an amazing time and will go again next year.
Embarkation

First ever cruise. We made it safely aboard.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We loved the foods. Lots of variety. I especially loved the Creme Brulee, so much so I had it every night (going on a diet now, lol). We were able to experience some delicious duck, lamb, lobster, snail, steak, and chicken.
Main Dining Room
5 out of 5
Really good quality foods.
Onboard Activities

We had a blast in the water slides. The hot tubes were relaxing, and the adult swimming pool was comfortable. We really liked the rock climbing walls. We enjoyed the art show very much although they did run out of champagne too early and we did not get any.
Entertainment

Children's Programs
We don't have kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward was on the ball. Always attending to our needs before we even asked. The one time we called him on the phone he showed up within 2 minutes with the solution to our request. Some of the waiters/waitresses we maybe over worked and didn't provide the best service. They are human though and it did not ruin our trip.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Common areas clean. The jewelry shop offered a free gift for waiting in line and participating in a drawing but it turned out to be a tinny piece of stone that was loose in a bag. I was disappointed for the bait and switch I feel that I received.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We loved this cabin. It must have been a handy-capped one because it looked much bigger than the others in the same hall. I really enjoyed the space.
Ship tip
Book cabin 1231, it is so much more spacious than the other rooms down the hall.
I have been to Galveston before and loved their beaches and their zoo (especially the penguin exhibit you can pay to go in the back and pet a real penguin.)
We went scuba diving and really enjoyed it. We also went to the beach but our jeep we were riding in had battery problems at the beach and after my boyfriend had to get out and help them push start it for a half hour, we were almost late getting back on the ship. Mexico residents don't carry jumper cables.
Great shops aboard. I loved the market the best. You can haggle and get some good deals from the vendors. We wanted badly to go to the beach but I was not allowed because I was too sick. Next time I will go to the beach.
