Review summary
Overall excellent. Security and ship check in were easy and efficient. Departure upon return (pier 25, Ft. Lauderdale) involved some long walking and took an hour from our number being called until we cleared customs. Most of this time was spent walking to the luggage area and waiting to enter to pick up our bags. Once we had our luggage, clearing customs was fast and easy. Parking was close in the "mid port"parking garage. Good directions in & out. No delays.
This ship rides more comfortably at high speed than many others we have sailed on. All the shows were great, but the juggler/comic, the Shine Band and the Broadway production of Saturday Night Fever were fantastic. Ice skating performance was also great. Food, food service, and entertainment were all top notch. Highly recommended. Liberty continues to have fixed seating times for dinner as well as "any time dining". Good choice whatever your preference.
One disappointment was the Baymon city tour in Belize. We selected this city tour because of the advertised "air conditioned" trolley. The a/c was barely functional; those of us in the last 3 rows of seats were miserably hot - to the point that one guest holding an 8 month old child spent his time mopping the baby's face. 30 minutes of the 1-i/2 hour tour was spent at a rum "factory" and a food stand. Two "pirates" supposedly to entertain the guests were better suited to the 4 - 8 year old crowd than to adults. This tour not recommended. Better choice, even in hot weather, would be one of the open air vehicles.
