Liberty of the Seas

5 Night Western Mediterranean (Barcelona Roundtrip)

Sail date: May 23, 2011

Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Reviewed: 12 years ago

Review summary

The ship was clean and things to do for adults. It is not geared to families with teens. I'm not sure if it is even geared toward small children because we saw many parents with their children at all points. Carnival has RC beet when it comes to fun & kids. Also the staff didn't seem very happy & it showed in their level of service. I spoke to several staff members & they said the European guests were especially rude to them (adults & children) I would say take this cruise if you like walking & historical sites, but not if you are looking for partying & action things to do in ports.

Monte Carlo a must see

Just not enough time to see everything...possible suggestion to have an overnight in Rome

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Prices unreasonable to try & do Pisa & Florence.

Pros: The ship was very nice and the food was very good.

Cons: This cruise is not meant to meet the needs of teenagers. There were very little activities for the teens. The excursion prices were OUTRAGEOUS! It was much better to go at it alone once you got to the ports. There were no activities that allowed for beach, jet skiing or water events.
