Review summary

On the whole we enjoyed our cruise, largely due to the staff, the ports were great but the over crowding was problematic...in the Vatican Museum for example you can only glimpse each treasure as you get swept along by the massive crowd. Long lines for most everything. If we ever did it again we would only look at the small group tours.

Embarkation

Easy and stress free

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Unfortunately the Main Dining Room was a bit disappointing, expected a five star experience but the staff while willing were inexperienced. Lido’s food was exactly what you would expect, the staff being friendly and helpful and only too pleased to go the extra mile. Pinnacle was superb.

Onboard Activities

Pretty ho hum

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Poor, the stage was very disappointing, the piano duo were ok, one being good the other frequently flat! The Rock was not great either. The BB Kings Blues singers were extremely good.

Children's Programs

Our 14 year old was not interested in attending as there appeared to be no other youth his age aboard

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The wait staff and cabin crew were excellent. The Spa was disappointing all they were interested in was up selling product and they ran very late, to the point I cancelled my prepaid appointments.?

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The decor was quite dull and dowdy in my opinion. The Main stage looked more like a town hall. It was very clean and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We shared with our grandson and it was tight! When the couch is out you can’t access the balcony at all or the single armchair. The bathroom was good with the shower rating a special mention, roomy and plenty of hot water.?
