Review summary

Overall a great cruise. The weather did not cooperate in Greenland and we had rain every day in port. We say the northern lights some one night when the cloud coverage moved out but missed it the other nights due to poor visibility. There were nearly a thousand diamond, diamond plus and pinnacle people on board so the normal top tier benefits/events were maxed out but we still had a ton of fun. It was nice to pepper in the sea days with the port days and the mood was mostly laid back and fun. We participated in several of the onboard trivias and game shows which were fun. Not a lot to do after 9pm which was fine with us because we went to bed and got up early most days.

Overall I think the food this cruise was not as good as it has been on past royal Caribbean cruises. There were several people that had 5:30 dining reservations that when they got on the ship had been changed to My Time Dinning.

Onboard Activities

we played pickle ball which was fun but there was a lot of people wanting to play and only one court so you had to wait quite a while to play. We also participated in trivia, played mini golf and several of the onboard game shows.

Entertainment

we really enjoyed all of the entertainment. This cruise there really wasn't much to do after 9pm other than listen to music somewhere

Service and Staff

Cabin steward was awesome. We didn't really have the same servers for more than a few nights. Some were awesome, some not as good. One team was extremely slow.

Ship Quality

older ship but was clean and seemed mostly well maintained. Could use more bathrooms near main venues like the dinning room, theater and safari club/schooner bar.

Cabin / Stateroom

Standard interior room. Great location, quite despite being close to centrum. Midship, low deck so didn't really feel the motion of the boat in the room except once. Only plugs were on the vanity which is not very close to the bed so cords do not reach.

Ship tip

Overall great ship and staff, one of the smaller of the RC ships with less to do. Would recommend especially for couples, small children and older adults. If you have older kids and teenagers you might want to consider one of the bigger ships with more to do for them.
