Review summary

Greenland was totally new to me and it did not disappoint. Newfoundland was also new and I want to see more.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Held up for a very long time by an inspection, conflicting info and instructions from port crew, and after standing waiting for 3 plus hours to have the " elete" people ushered ahead when they get there last minute is wrong, all should be equal and a queue should be first in first out, not I paid more so I get better treatment..

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was disappointing, the selections got fewer daily as they ran out of basic items. The salad bar in the buffet was skimpy, if you consider a plate of lettuce a salad then it was fantastic but if you want dressing on your salad you would be left wanting. The ship is not aging gracefully and it looks like repairs are not on the to do list. I have major praise for the crew, they were all friendly and eager to do their best in all areas. The Captain was a hoot and should give lessons on speaking on a P.A. system. The ports visited were all fantastic the people were welcoming ant there were options for everyone to explore. Would I go on another cruise like this one? Yes but I would prefer a different ship.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Bingo is not the answer. Trivia should not be won only by back to back to back cruisers.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Stage shows???? 1 night of the Beatles cover band is not enough for all to see them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew work very hard.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
As I said before this ship is getting old and it shows in the poor repair.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very small cabin, the balcony was nice but with the cold weather it was not as useful as it could have been. With the beds separated you had to move one to be able to use the indoor refrigerator. I had medication in the fridge and that ment having to push and pull on the bed to access them. The bathroom seemed to be experiencing a vent problem and required constant air freshener use.

Ship tip

The area outside the Windjammer is a great area for reading, relaxation or just hanging out.
