Review summary

I enjoyed this cruise very much. The jewel does not have all the bells and whistles of the larger ships, but we chose this ship based on the itinerary. I like that it was not so huge, much easier and quicker to get around and because it doesn’t have as much of the Activities the larger ships has it definitely keeps the kid count down, which I appreciate

Enjoyed the food at the Windjammer and the dining room. Could have used a little less pork it seem like it was pork every day and it could’ve used a little bit more beef.

I used the fitness center, have everything one would need, my husband was impressed They even had very high weighted dumbbells.

The entertainment was just not very good. It could use at least one great show.

Cabin was comfortable and clean, however needs updates with USB ports and more electrical outlets, especially near the bed.

Ship tip

The jewel is a good ship, but it does not have all the bells and whistles of the larger ships. However, some of the larger ships do not have the great itineraries that the jewel has, so if you’re looking strictly based on itineraries, this will be a great ship. Also, since it doesn’t have so many bells and whistle, they definitely keep the kids to a minimum m.

The Jewel is gorgeous ship with all the windows around it. I guess depending where your itinerary takes you. We were on it to the southern Caribbean, and to the Mediterranean, and it’s beautiful.
