Review summary

Royal Caribbean has done it again. Immediately after my wife and I reached Diamond Plus status RC: created new menus (awful), prohibited access to the concierge club for Diamond Plus members, cut back and in some cases removed room amenities and has now cut back on room attendant service. RC created a lifestyle on board that cruisers enjoyed and in most cases could not find with last based vacation resorts. Over twenty years of sailing with RC we find more and more is being taken away, all in the name of corporate profit. Don't get me wrong, they are a corporation and must make a profit, but they now seem to be squeezing more and more out of the faithful. Especially those that have been loyal to Royal.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation went slow. Checked in with no problem but were forced to stand for 20 minutes before being allowed to board. With a disability this was difficult.

Every cruise has cut back. But I've cruised for 50 years and cruising constantly changes. This Covid thing really didn't take alot away. One time cabin makeup was here before Covid. tours behind the scene were free. The only place to eat was MDR. Where is that dinner gong? Loved that. No Guys burgers. No Mexican stand. Couldn't bring sodas or wine onboard at embarkation. Where are the playing cards we always got. Where is the candy on your pillow? We used a key to open our cabin. Before Covid there was legionnaires disease onboard. I was on a 17 day cruise years before Covid and came home with bronchitis. No one cared. I got my Covid vax purely to be able to cruise. I hope I never get to the point I complain about an ocean cruise.

I feel lucky just to have most of the cruise lines up and running. Some smaller cruise lines did not make it through the Covid shutdown.
