Review summary

Delightful cruise in a laid back atmosphere. Excellent food and service all the way around on the ship. Limited slot machines on the ship and they were pretty tight so just brought home half of my budgeted funds.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy embarkation. I had a 12:30 pm boarding time and I was on the ship having lunch by 1pm

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main room dining was super however if you get the opportunity to do the Chef's Table it is outstanding. Six course meal paired with wonderful wine and the personal attention is exceptional.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
I didn't participate in the onboard activities such as the pool, rock climbing or fitness center but heard they were good. I gave 1 star since there was not a N/A box.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
My favorite is the Love & Marriage show and I certainly was not disappointed. Susan the cruise director did add a lot of levity to this show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff is so glad to have everyone onboard and it is apparent by the friendly service they give to all the guests.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This is an older ship so it looks a little tired. The crew does a great job of keeping it clean and well maintained. She could do with a little face lift or freshening up compared to the other ships in the fleet. I was just on Enchantment and she seemed to be in better shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin steward Senan took great pride in keeping my cabin comfortable and clean at all times. I travelled by myself so the room was totally adequate for me.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did the city tour which was quite informational and enjoyable. Marriott excursions arranged trip but sent me wrong instructions to get to pickup location. Had to pay $10 for taxi to get to correct pier/meeting location.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
The water was the most beautiful blue color I have ever seen. Just stayed in the shopping around the pier.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Booked the Royal transfer from the ship to the Airport. No one could tell me specifically where to go to meet the shuttle. Had to ask 4 people. Waited over an hour for the bus and then he did a full circle back to our original pickup point before heading to the Airport. MIA is a huge airport and signage is really poor to find check in, etc.

Traveler Photos

Water right at ship's dock.
