Waiters good in general, but room steward not very friendly. Room was not very clean, when we arrive we found stuff in some drawers. papers, candy, sun glasses.

When we arrived we found papers (candy wrappings) in one drawer. Another one had a pair of sunglasses. Furniture is old. needs to be replaced or cleaned. The safe didn't work. The light in the bathroom went out. Scratches in the corners or furniture, drawers, etc.

We are cruising 27 jan 2020 from Dubai - feeling anxious because of recent news with UAE. Normally very happy with Royal Caribbean cruises in general

I don’t necessarily think that is true. Thousands of people go through these ships on a year. They aren’t going to be pristine. I have not found a Royal or Princess ship yet that was terrible. Carnival is another story...

Thank you for your honesty. I am booked for a cruise on Jewel Of the Seas in January and at least I know not to have my expectations high. I just came off a cruise yesterday on another cruise line and I was also very disappointed with the service I have been cruising since 1991 and I guess this is the new normal for this day and age.
