Review summary

I would like to rate it higher, but honestly, the horrible rendering experience in Villefranche-sur-Mer really was so disappointing that it brought the entire experience down. To make matters worse, it was the last day of the cruise so it is what my kids remember more clearly.

Smooth, but no fanfare whatsoever

Very annoyed that the kids’ pool with the one and only slide was closed every evening. If you do shore excursions then your children never get to use the slide.

It was just too tight for a family of 5 and fold out sofa was pretty horrible. One part of the three was a wooden board...no mattress and barely any cushion, just a blanket.

Ship tip

Sort out tender experience in Villefranche-sur-Mer!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WHEN TENDERING!!

There was a lot to do at this port. We did the Pope’s Palace at Avignon. Well done.

We really enjoyed Monaco, not enough time in Nice to do anything especially considering we arrived at lunch time. Still, I would have given it 4 stars but for the rendering experience!! All excursions arrived around the same time. Everyone was making different lines. No one was directing passengers. Back-up was around the building..OUTSIDE!! They got so desperate that the crew employed local boats to bring people back to ship. My family was on one of them! We almost CRASHED into the metal dock on the ship! So we waiting for TWO HOURS TO GET A BOAT THAT SOENT 20 MINUTES TRYING TO TENDER. It gave up and took us all BACK TO THE PORT WHERE WE HAD TO STAND IN LINE AGAIN AND WAIT FOR A RC TENDER BOAT. WE FINALLY GOT ON ALMOST THREE HOURS AFTER ARRIVING BACL FROM OUR EXCURSION!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! FUTHERMORE, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION WITH PASSENGERS. NO ONE HAD A CLUE WHAT WAS GOING ON. IT WAS ABSOLUTE CHAOS. I expected more from Royal Caribbean. I felt like I was on a Carnival Cruise!!😢

Again, little information directing passengers after disembarking.
