Review summary

A lot of sea days with only four stops. A good cruise for people who want a relaxing vacation and have never visited the ABC islands.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation process was fast and painless. Miss the old practice of a glass of champion upon boarding but then again know body does that any more.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good in all venues. The drinks were excessively expensive.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
With so many sea days the crew did a good job of finding activities for all ages.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Some of the best shows I have seen. Being an older ship with a small venue they did not have a major production but the acts brought onboard did an outstanding job.

Children's Programs

Did not have any children in our party

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone did an outstanding job. Our room steward was on top of all our requests. Our main dinning room staff were friendly and met all of our dinning needs.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship design was okay and easy to get around with plenty of ways to get from deck to deck. Being an old ship had its draw backs the lower deck hallways often smelled of toilet waste, the ladies rooms had plugged toilets from time to time, and casino allows smoking which caused smoke to waffle through adjoining areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Good storage, with plenty of hangers. The mattress was thin and somewhat uncomfortable, the sofa was old and worn. The bathroom was your typical ship toilet and shower. Small but doable.

Ship tip

Expect a friendly crew on one of the oldest ship in the fleet. If you like a 2200 passenger ship, as I do, then this ship will meet your expectations.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Easy on and off, while we did not go on a tour as we have spent many days here previously its an interesting island with both desert and beaches. If you have not been here previously make certain to take a tour its well worth the cost.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
Not unlike Aruba its an interesting dutch influenced island.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

3 out of 5
Having never been to Bonaire before we took a 22 mile bike trip around the island. It is the poorest of the three islands (ABC) and the smallest with only 16000 residents. I would not recommend the electric bike ride as its a lot of work, and somewhat dangerous. Part of the road is very narrow with cars not giving way. No major injuries in out party of 11 but a few bumps and bruises. Small downtown shopping area with a couple of good local drinking holes.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Took a tour to Atlantis and it was interesting. The only complaint would be the audio system used by the guide was very poor.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We did walk off and it was trouble free.
