Review summary
Overall good cruise. Ship was in excellent shape and the crew generally very friendly. 5 ports in 5 days to start and long port days, too. Last day was the only sea day. That did not leave much time to enjoy the ship. Ports were very nice with excellent beaches and lots to do. When you go to St. Maarten go to Lazy Lizard Beach Bar & Grill. Best local restaurant we found on any of our 5 Caribbean cruises. Ship is medium size and does not have all the diversions of larger ships. Dining rooms were excellent. Meals well prepared. Not a lot of change from day to day, especially in the Windjammer. Portofino's specialty Italian restaurant was very, very good. We had a voucher but I can certainly see why it would be worth the $20pp extra cost for special occasions. Only 2 full music and dance production shows but they were both wonderful. They had 3 comedians, 2 of which were excellent. Lots of access to the captain and crew. Nice little gym but the free weight section was not big enough to be comfortable or safe. Another disadvantage of a smaller ship. Our only other Royal Caribbean cruise was on the Freedom, a much larger vessel with lots more to do which we liked.

Ship tip
Portofino's Italian specialty restaurant was excellent. Service was very attentive. Food from starters to dessert was way above average.
