Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Inside

My family and i came back from a western caribbean cruise 10 days. On this cruise we took our niece who was celebrating her 20th birthday and she had a blast as her first time cruising, I feel that because My husband and I had cruise more than 9 times we are now comparing every cruise and been very particular about certain things. This cruise was catered most to senior citizens since the majority were seniors, therefore I recomment this type of cruise to any family who is interested in being part of a group of the kind.

Pros: The port of Calls

Cons: The population

George Town, Grand Cayman
Most jewlery stores are in this port
Cartagena, Colombia
You can walk to the closest city, and take a taxi on the way back. It is a bit far from the cruise ship, but you can do it.
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
Not much but the island is beautiful, the shops are very inexpensive, very friendly, try to do all the activities its fun
Don't Miss: don't miss the shopping, you will get the almost the same items on another port, but more expensive
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
if you like to shop and save money as soon as you get out of the ship they have the best shopping area ever. they also have a spa area for your convinience to have a nice massage after your shopping as well as do you nails. The ship has this also but way more expensive
Colon, Panama
Take a public yellow taxi at the port and have the driver take you to the canal and the neighborhoods
Don't Miss: shopping mall has a lot of stores and the best icecream cones from the local vendor for only $.50C
