Review summary

While aboard the Jewel of the Sea she received her 3rd 100% evaluation by the US Health Department and also the Canadian Health Officials. A very clean and beautiful 90.000 plus ton ship. The ship was well designed. We never felt cramped or crowded. Getting on board and embarkation were as smooth as we have ever experienced.

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

We had a chance to view the world famous locations that showcased the Bay of Fundy tides. They are some of the highest in the world. We visited Dipper Harbour and it was a picture postcard setting with the lobster boats, lobster traps and a low tide setting. It is a don't miss opportunity.
Don't Miss: The Bay of Fundy Panoramic Tour was outstanding. Awesome scenery and many picturesque settings.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

A beautiful town. We did a walking tour and the gardens were still beautiful even this late in the year.
Don't Miss: The local tourist area and Citadel had many examples of the local kilts and even some bagpipe and drum entertainment.

Bar Harbor, Maine

A beautiful small coastal town with things to do for everyone. Lots of great places to visit. We toured Acadia National Park and loved the scenery. thunder Hole and Cadillac mountain are both very impressive.
Don't Miss: Acadia National Park is truely a don't miss opportunity to view the first National Park east of the Mississippi.

Portland, Maine

First port of call and a great time to get started on our lobster feast.

Pros: Beautiful scenery and excellent pace

Cons: The Northeaster we encountered on the way to the home port.
