Review summary

Our cabin was delightful-balcony privacy was indeed the best. Public rooms were utilized most of the time for passenger entertainment. We are suburban Boston residents and the ease of embarking through Boston terminal was sooo easily done with RC's diligent staff, we were surprised and well served. Thank you. Jewel is a grand ship with accommodations for all types of interests. We cannot speak more highly for Russell, table 421 in dining room, Sutar, cabin 7134, Talat, table 421 in dining room as well as all the kind servers in Windjammer. We were taken care of "royally" by everyone we came in contact with on the ship. Our dining companions were so enjoyable to meet that we were at our dining table each night-having a happy time. Shopping area a bit cramped most of the time-didn't spend too much of our time there. Photo people were not intrusive as on other ships.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

1 out of 5
Downtown Hamilton- where you are taken by ferry is under a large contruction process and is not easily traveled on foot. We expected to spend our time in this area and found it hard to walk through the construction barriers. Hopefully it will be more welcoming in the near future. As far as Kingn's Wharf, we are seniors and only took the free shuttle ride to the few attractions nearby the ship. We were not impressed by the offerings.

Pros: The top notch crew and tasteful food

Cons: disembarking for port visit or tours-own tenders give better service
