Review summary

Cruising direct from Boston is fabulous. No airport hassles. Trip to Bermuda on Jewel of the Seas was pleasant despite the 20 foot sea swells because of a storm. Entire staff was courteous, pleasant and very helpful. Food in main dining room was edible and forgettable and served well with a smile. Portofino meals were exceptional for the small upcharge. Entertainment was very good. Ship was very clean and spacious. I never felt like there were 2,000+ guests on the ship. The crew gave great service and made it look effortless. Hubby and I booked this trip only two weeks before departure and did not have high expectations - we were very pleased with the entire experience. We got a cabin upgrade without requesting one to a cabin with a window. Unfortunately, being on Deck 3 had its negatives during a storm - waves blowing by your cabin window! Though I did sleep well through the continual rocking motion. We have been raving about how great this trip was since we have returned and are planning another cruise with RC.

Edible and forgettable in the Tides Dining Room. Windjammer buffet was much better.

No great shakes here. The quality is in Hamilton. Unfortunately the big ships no longer dock in Hamilton and this will kill the Hamilton business.

Pros: Everything was easy, fun, First Rate and painless

Cons: Some rude New Englanders.
