Jewel of the Sea- an uptight ship

Sail Date: October 23, 2008

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

I felt guest relations was very vexing. not polite when had questions , very sharp with their tongue. Also when going down for tending boat to island one worker cut our line off and sent us to the end of a line twice. We lost our #2 ticket spot two times and wondered why we needed a ticket if they weren't honoring it. the people on the ship seamed like they didn't like their jobs very well and it transferred over to the passengers. Saw many, many frustrated people including us.
Put a big damper on this expensive trip.

Pros: shows

Cons: guest relations was like guest vexations

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? No.

Service and Staff
Again more like a guest vexation then guest relations
Food and Dining
would have liked to seen lobster . This staff we enjoyed, they were very polite. would have liked a table for our party of 6 and not have to sit with strangers.
Entertainment
ehh , although the night shows had great singers and dancers.
Ship Quality
Ship was fine but needed a better crew
Cabin / Stateroom
Alex was a good stateroom attendant
King's Wharf, Bermuda
only open on saturday. we missed it because we were at north side of island. would have liked to be informed that it was closed on Sunday so we could have seen it. we would have changed our days around.
