Review summary

For those wanting to see a lot in one trip this cruise is for you. Just be prepared for early morning excursions at most ports and have good walking shoes or hiking shoes, you'll need them. Alot pf ports were crossed off my bucket list on this cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room service was awesome. The staff were friendly yet professional, polite and caring to your needs.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Loved all the trivia themed opportunities. The staff made it all fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were good. We did like the variety and if you missed one it was repeated a couple of days later.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Cabin steward was very accommodating. The ship needed more staff at their front desk, long line waits.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is old and even with a refurbishment in 2017 it still needs more updates of furniture.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We were disappointed in the room, it wasn't a premium balcony room, very small and no sofa sleeper for our son. A 6-foot guy had to climb up into an overhead berth every night.

Ship tip

Check out room sizes for old ships like the Island Princess. If you like a lot of space, go for new ships.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

3 out of 5
The wait time outside terminal was more than 30 mins. There should be a seating area inside the first floor for guests to wait before going upstairs to check in.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

Belfast, Northern Ireland

A bustling city with lots to see.

Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland

5 out of 5
Loved the rolling hills, green trees and Sterling castle views and Kirkwall wheel experience was ok.

Lerwick, Shetland Islands, Scotland

5 out of 5
I wanted to see and pet ponies; they are beautiful animals.

Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Scotland

5 out of 5
The ruins were amazing

Invergordon (Inverness & Loch Ness), Scotland

5 out of 5
The Loches were so beautiful with blue water and calm seas.

South Queensferry (Edinburgh), Scotland

5 out of 5
Great bustling city with lots to do and see. The castle has spectacular views.

Dover (London), England

4 out of 5
London has lots to see and do. Very busy walking around. Buckingham palace and changing of the guard in the morning to museums and the Abby is a must see. Needed more time there.

Portland (Weymouth), England, UK

5 out of 5
You have to see Stone henge in person; the pictures don't do it justice. It's a long walk to it but the shuttle service helps that part.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was very efficient.
