Review summary

We are so glad we did not book an excursion but stayed on the ship during the 3 licks in the canal. We had the ship for ourselves and were able to take beautiful pictures all day long.

Embarkation

Smooth!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Very well irganized

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the indoor pool early in the morning mostly by myself

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The show on the last evening of the cruise was different from the regular entertainment as it told a beautiful story. The secret silk - an inspiring plot with amazing art work portrayed by wonderful performers!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we interacted with was friendly and polite and did their best to make us feel welcome

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Took us a week to get the command of the ship. Till then we did a lot of extra miles ;)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Surprisingly the view was hardly obscured. Since it was the last cabin at the aft we enjoyed the nice view but the drawback was the noise and vibration from the engines.

Ship tip

Get a room in the middle of the ship

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Lot of construction but easy embarkation. I appreciated the security when entering the port area.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Booked Montego Bay through an outside vendor because Princess did not offer this excursion.

Cartagena, Colombia

5 out of 5
Right after leaving the ship we strolled through a tiny rain forest and admired colorful birds, monkeys, anteater and even a sloth! Then I wish I had just taken a taxi and explored this exciting old city on my own instead of bei g cramped in an uncomfortable van with a guide who hardly spoke English!

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
So glad we stayed on the ship as most people left for excursions. We had full roam of the ship and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the canal through 3 locks forth and back.

Cristobal, Panama

3 out of 5
Unfortunately we could not get out of the port area but the local people put on a really nice show for us with native dancers and a crafts market.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

4 out of 5
In hindsight we should have booked an excursion because the port area is jus another tourist shopping market.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
The ride in the cramped van to the 7 mile beach costs only 5$ per person. How crowded the beach is depends on how many ships are in port. Note to myself - next time just go to Senior Frog or Margaritaville!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth, quick and easy!
