Review summary

Overall, if you're OK with a smaller ship and an older crowd, then this is for you. The canal was great and the ports were worth stopping in.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The easiest and quickest embarkation I've ever experienced.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was overall very good, but on any cruise ship, its always a little different than on land. My biggest gripe was the repetition of the buffet items.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This is a small ship, but you should know that getting into the cruise. That being said don't expect water slides and rock walls. The entertainment, shows, and music were all great especially given the size of the ship.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff was great, with one or two less than stellar folks. George (bartender) and Alex (bar waiter) from Crooners were fantastic!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
First time in a mini suite.... I usually go balcony. It was nice having a full sized tub and shower, but I don't know if I'd do it again.

Ship tip

Just know its a smaller ship and set your expectations accordingly. Also, 10 days to the canal draws an older crowd. I'm 39 and was one of the younger people on board.

Ports of call

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
Very cool to watch, definitely a bucket list location for sure.

Cartagena, Colombia

5 out of 5
Beautiful city, don't let the guys selling stuff bother you.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Grand Cayman is pretty standard, but I love it.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

4 out of 5
The rainforest walk excursion should be in an actual rainforest.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
It's Jamaica, been there done that. Dunns is fun.

Disembarkation

Glad you enjoyed Cartagena. Many cruisers complained about aggressive vendors.

We have found that any cruise lasting more than 9 days, tends to have an older crowd. We figured it is harder for younger people and/or families to get that much time for a vacation. Let me add the caveat that does not include Summer when children are out of school. Glad you enjoyed your cruise!⛴
