Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There were 2 specialty restaurants and I tried one of them, Sabatini's. It was fantastic. Delicious, great service.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
It was to cold to do the pool, the hot tubs were mostly always full so I didn't try those. No rock-climbing available, I didn't use the fitness center.

Service and Staff

The staff was wonderful and they were always smiling and willing to help.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was laid out well, I like the design and the common areas were really clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

Grrrrrr. We were promised a queen sized sofa bed and 2 twins for 4 senior citizen women. We got a queen sofa with a twin bed fold out, 2 twin beds and a pull down bunk from the ceiling! Our person who climbed the inadequate ladder for sleeping, had a call of nature about 3 am and ended up falling off that ladder. She was badly bruised from her knee to her hip, maybe broke a toe and had bruises on her cheek. Customer Service told us they only advertise this specific cabin for 3 adults, not 4! Our steward was frustrated because we ended up getting a mattress for on the floor and that took up the majority of our walking space; so.....we wouldn't allow the steward in to care for the room because there was no way he could do it! I've written to Princess and I am waiting their response.

Ship tip

Make sure you see the shows, make sure you try at least one of the specialty restaurants, make sure to have fun.

This is where we embarked and we spent the night prior to our cruise at Lonsdale Quay hotel across from the cruise ship docks. We had a lovely afternoon, enjoyed dinner at Tap & Brew, and enjoyed the ferry ride across to the cruise docks.

Juneau, Alaska

I love Juneau, we took a local shuttle out to Nugget Falls and walked to the base of the falls.

Skagway, Alaska

We walked the town, visited the Red Onion Saloon and enjoyed nachos and cheese then took the tour of the upstairs. Quite interesting.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
We went to Marjorie Glacier and enjoyed seeing the glacier, hearing the ice crack and seeing it fall into the bay.

Ketchikan, Alaska

We did the Duck Tour here - and our Duck got stuck trying to come out of the water!! The pitch of the pier made it difficult to climb or the Duck vehicle had major transmission problems!

Disembarkation

Very smooth. We enjoyed breakfast in the buffet - it was VERY crowded, then we went to our waiting place until our color & # was called.
