Review summary

Overall, this was a great cruise. We enjoyed many of the activities on the ship, especially the entertainment, and we enjoyed our three excursions. We would hesitate to recommend this trip to others.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The process in Ft. Lauderdale was very smooth and efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The quality of the food was pretty good, but their menu selections were not the best. All of the dining areas were nicely decorated, and the wait staff was excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were plenty of activities going on every day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The production shows and the guest entertainers were excellent. All were much better than we were expecting - a pleasant surprise.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was friendly, courteous and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship in general appeared to be very clean, and our stateroom was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious and quiet.

Ship tip

Unfortunately, the theater is a bit small, so if you want to see a show, get there early, because it fills up quickly.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5

George Town, Grand Cayman Did not visit port

We have been here a number of times, so there was no point in getting off the ship.

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
The city was much more advanced than I had imagined, however, we spent all of our excursion in the historic district. The tour was okay, but we were besieged with people selling stuff everywhere we went. That became annoying.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
Going into the canal was a great experience. Very worthwhile.

Colon, Panama Did not visit port

Our excursion took by bus to Panama City on the west coast, which was a very nice tour. We only reembarked in Colon. Colon is pretty much a port/industrial city, and is therefore not very tourist-friendly.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

4 out of 5
The tour we took was very nice, but it was a little disheartening to see how many homes and businesses were protected by walls with razor wire or electrified fencing.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica Did not visit port

We weren't up for the excursions being offered, we weren't interested in shopping, so we stayed on the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The entire process moved along very smoothly. We left the ship close to our assigned time, we found our luggage easily, and we moved through Customs quickly. Since we docked a a different pier from where we laft, we were dreading the shuttle back to the parking garage, but the shuttle bus was outside waiting, and got to our car quickly.

I'm confused! There were no negative comments except the theatre was too small. What would they hesitate to recommend the cruise?
