Review summary

Very nice cruise with great views of the glaciers! Food was great in the main dining room and even though we used the anytime dining, we very seldom had to wait longer than 10 minutes to get seated. Getting on and off the ship in the ports went very smooth....ship was very clean and never felt overcrowded! Met great people and the ships personnel were very friendly and always helpful!

Embarkation

We had to wait in quite a long line to get on the ship because of the fact that we all came off of the Princess Train ride....we got on the ship just an hour prior to sailing which did limit us getting around the ship before leaving the port .....

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Dining room fare was great! The lunch buffet wasnt as large as i remembered it being on the other ships which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and delicious omelets!

Onboard Activities

always had activities going on to keep you busy! Danced alot in the evenings in the 2 lounges. The piano.player was really relaxing to listen to around the dinner hour....

Service and Staff

Our cabin stewerd was new and still a bit nervous but did a great job keeping our room tidy!

Ship Quality

I think i would have liked the ship before the refurbishing than i do now.....if we took the elevator near the back of the ship to the top floor (14) to get to the Buffet (in the front of the ship)- we had to walk outside to get from one end of the ship to the other.....in nice weather, that would have been fine but we had 30 + 40 degree days and nites.....

Ship tip

Overall a great ship with alot of space to get around.....the bars were rarely crowded so you would not have to wait very long for a drink. The bar selection was great! The band that played in the Explorers Lounge (Symphonee) was very good and we enjoyed dancing to their music almost every nite! The bathroom shower in our balcony room was quite small and felt a bit chlostrophobic.....

very nice town! Enjoyed the tour of the Red Onion Saloon! Also had a few frinks and appetizers there that were good. Service was excellent for the amt of people they were serving....we also did the Mushers Camp and really enjoyed it. If you are a dog lover- you will definitely enjoy this excursion!

Juneau, Alaska

Went on a whale watch in Juneau that was really fun! saw quite a few whales and felt the excursion was well worth it! did not go into the town....

Ketchikan, Alaska

This was one of the cutest towns i have ever seen! Had a GREAT crab leg dinner at Dwyers (directly across from the ship dock)....also has a Christmas shop nearby that shouldn't be missed.....we did not do an excursion here.... really enjoyed walking around the Creek Street area! If you want some "fun cookies or brownies" this is the town to get them in!

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Did not visit Vancouver, but the whole customs process seemed long and i would definitely avoid a foreign port next time. disembarkation would be much easier and much quicker.....
