Island Princess

7 Night Voyage Of The Glaciers Southbound (Anchorage To Vancouver)

Ship: Island Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: D622

Review summary

Loved Every minute including the land tour portion. Princess really has the logistics down to make it easy for the guests. Our only suggestion would be to back off with all the hard sells on jewelry on the cruise. That part was somewhat annoying.

We did a HAL tour cruise with 3 days in Denali. Stayed at McKinley Chalets but did eat at the Wilderness lodge it looked to be a nice place. We were lucky on our Tundra Tour and saw lots of bears and moose. If you look at my photos you can see a grizly we ran into when we were out of the bus. Can't wait to go back. We are going to create our own land tour though.

For our land tour we went up to the Princess McKinley lodge and also up to the Wilderness lodge at Denali. We loved the Denali national park tour though we weren't fortunate enough to see as much wildlife as we had hoped, it was breathtaking and incredibly interesting.

The cruise line will tell you which nights are formal, which for some people seems to mean tuxes/evening gowns and for most people means something they would wear to a nice dinner out.

Could you tell me what nights are formal on a Seven day trip from Vancouver?

Princess and Alaska. Two wonders that go together perfectly in the Summer months. Glad you were able to enjoy them both.
