Review summary

The destination. The weather. The entertainment just great. Having 2 weeks hols makes a difference. But due to the large ships. The ships have got larger BUT the disembarkation area has NOT been extended!! This was an awful experience. May NOT cruise again.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was an inside. No problem. Excellent tentative room attendant.

Ship tip

A very large ship. Can be a Butlins when lots of children onboard. Not as cruising used to be. Lots of services cut. Be aware of the disembarkation issues. 6000 people in the same building that housed 2500 people!!! We will not experience that again.

Due to havjng to stop overnight because of a emergency. We left the ship at 11.15pm. To see the Xmas lights. They blew us away. The best we have seen ever. So glad we went into Virgo. Spectacular.

Have to disagree with the review. Was on same cruise G338, didn’t have any problem with children, less on board than we thought there would be and hardly saw them. Food in the main was good with plenty of choices at different venues, some admittedly you do pay extra for. Entertainment in the headliners was poor, but the band in 710 club and Joel Harper Jackson in The Limelight Club were outstanding. Some good films to watch in the cinema, watched 5 of them including the new Indiana Jones, Flash and Oppenheimer. Disembarkation was a bit slow, probably took us about 25 mins at the most, but getting 5000 passengers off a ship and reconciling them with their bags is never going to be a quick process. Would definitely cruise on Iona again.
