Great Cruise

Sail Date: August 22, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Room Type: Balcony

Well run, very attentive to passenger needs, wonderful food, eating arrangements and informality a great plus.

Pros: Service, Food, Size of ship

Cons: Cost and slowness of Internet service, Cost of shore excursions

Recommends Insignia? Yes!

The entertainment was OK, but not of great consequence to us, as we primarily spent our time on shore and by the time we got back to the ship every night were ready for dinner and bed.
Ship Quality
Only problem was one elevator which was "temporarily" out of service for the entire 14 days and created inconvenience for passengers at that end of the ship.
Food and Dining
Flexibility and informality were great. Service and quality of food couldn't be better.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Tallinn, Estonia
Copenhagen, Denmark

Don't Miss: Canal trip and Tivoli
Riga, Latvia
Charming city to walk around
Helsinki, Finland
Pleasant walking around and visiting the three main churches.
St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

Don't Miss: Too many to enumerate
Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium
Beautiful town to walk. Take the train from the port - cheapest and fastest way to go.
Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany
Went to Berlin. A lot of travel but worth it if one has never been there before
Stockholm, Sweden

Don't Miss: The Vasa Museum was incredible.
